This fella was a guy we met out in rural Covington, Louisiana where a miniature stallion can run as free as the wind. He is a beauty and we enjoyed our visit with him and his herd of mini pasture-mates on a cold but bright winter day in 2008. His showing off for the camera a mere five feet him was exciting. If a full sized stallion was buzzing me like this I would have felt in danger, but this full sized ego was just compelling, not dangerous.

I’ve spoken of enhancements to photographs in pasts posts. I chose to apply filters to layers and masks on this one as I thought it added interesting texture to an already shaggy winter coat. I’d love to go back in mid summer when he would be sleek and svelte.

You may purchase this signed, unframed, limited edition, 13 x 16 (including a one inch white border – image is 11 x 14) image as a collectible fine art giclee on Hahnemuehle Photo Rag 308 Smooth 100% Cotton paper for $65. Contact us for sales.
