I thought I’d post another look at this funny, playful, endearing person to remind those who do not have every day relationships with horses that there are 9.2 million horses in America. Of those [...] You’ve already met this stiff legged little fella in the Painted Colt post. I thought I’d post him with his mom today to celebrate what is being called a huge victory in the fight to save the wild mustang from near extinction. Don’t you just want to wrap your arms around this little guy and kiss him all over? He’s just as charming a guy as he can be. It’s a little difficult to see here, but an unshod horse, as is this baby, of course, moves by placing the heel of his foot down first, and [...] Meet Spade, a well-loved, albeit new addition to a dreamin’ woman’s family. This is another image from my visit to horse country in southern Louisiana this past weekend. Spade is a sweet and lovely gelding just learning to be a saddle horse, but making great strides toward that end. Does he look like your new best friend? He makes a case for that role. Alas, he already has a new best friend. Sisters Pet Pics has been busy this summer with location shoots; last weekend we went out to Folsom to photograph horses in the morning and hobby farm animals in the afternoon.
