I am Paula Royce half owner of Sisters Pet Pics, a small photographic studio located in Covington, LA. Together with Terry Scheller we have been photographing pets in Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas since 2005. More of our work can be viewed at Sisters Pet Pics.
I decided to begin this blog to give the opportunity to all fellow pet photography enthusiasts to have their work looked at, critiqued and taken seriously. In my travels I have found that posting a photograph of a dog on any of the major photo forums will be relegated to the “snapshot” category. Some of us are serious about the work and wish to improve just as those who specialize in weddings, and human portraiture.When I say serious, I do not mean serious about the animals, for I am rarely serious with my pets (they have better senses of humor than do many people). I mean serious about the work. I want to improve and if you’re still reading this, so do you. So let’s get started!
