Sweet Princess

With great sadness, Sisters Pet Pics adds another soft and treasured dog soul to our list of friends who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge.  When her mom wrote to tell us of her passing, I found tears welling with fresh grief  for those I knew better than Princess, but who were not loved more.

When she came into our studio late in 2008 we giggled at her fabulous under bite.  What is it that makes those under bites so compelling?  Hers was a little crooked and she couldn’t have been sweeter.  Princess lost her battle with heart problems on August 11th.  She fought bravely for quite some time, but was well enough to join her house sister, Doodlebug, in their winning Mardi Paws 2009 float.  Pictures of Princess and Doodlebug can still be viewed on the Mardi Paws web site.  What a good sport and a wonderful companion.  She would have been 15 years old this Halloween.

We wish Princess’ family comfort and solace.  Rest in peace, sweet Princess.

Thank you so much for remembering Princess and honoring her one last time. She will be deeply missed by myself and the rest of her family. She was the most special pet I’ve ever had. I’ve had her since she was a baby and I was 11 years old. I will truly be lost without her by my side.

    • We hope your heart is soothed with the knowledge that you gave her a wonderful life with many fun times. We grieve with you, Jordan, as all who have lived with and loved an animal who they lost can attest.
