I’m sure many of you are aware that in digital photography you can make any image black and white in a number of ways. The best way to do it in Photoshop is to use Image>Adjustments>Black & White… From this menu you can make selective adjustments for ultimate control. While post processing, I often take a look at an image as a B&W rendering to see which I like better. This one of Thelma and Louise seems improved. The cats are black and white so there will be nothing missing from the capture if we view it sans color. I thnk it is enhanced. What do you think?

I like the black and white effect and the personality of each of the cats come through which is my definition of a good pet photo.
Here’s a collage I made for my website, happydogsplay.com, of my girls who are on the other side. Some of the photos weren’t as good as yours always are but i think the ones that look the best and the ones where there’s more contrast. If you edit a collage like this, how do you make sure all the photos match? I edited each one separately and then dragged them into the Pages application on my iMac and added the quote. Then I saved the collage as a jpeg. I now know to save my photos as a Tiff file but how would you make this collage better?
