Boston’s Best

Boston Terrier (Click to enlarge)

No, not beans, but these guys.  A photographer doesn’t have to do much to create a compelling photo of a Boston Terrier.  I’ve wondered if this fella ever grew into her or his ears.  I’m unclear of its gender because for some reason this puppy and her or his dad escaped our database.  Although we’ve kept pretty good records over the years, the training classes we photographed for free did not always get entered because there was no obligation to buy photographs.  Good Dog Naturally, where we have our studio, offers training classes and this sweetie was in the 8/9/07 AM graduation class.  We’ve always loved this image and thought it deserved to be posted sans name.

So the tip of the day is to keep exemplary records!  When you take hundreds, even thousands, of photographs, which you might do in the course of a lifetime, you cannot enjoy them if you cannot find them.  Although finding them is not my problem, it may be yours.  If digital is your format, it’s easy to catalog each shoot and if possible keyword every image to make it easier to find.

If this is your puppy, don’t forget to subscribe to our newsletter to get in on the 10% off any package savings and enjoy our photography tips to boot!  Anyone who subscribes to our Better Pet Photography newsletter is elegible for these savings and more if you subscribe.  Remember, registering to be able to comment on our blog, is not the same as subscribing to the newsletter.  If your pet hasn’t been featured yet, subscribe so you don’t miss it!  It’s free and easy to subscribe.  Get our weekly posts on Fridays so you don’t miss anything!  There’s no time like the present.
