Sisters Pet Pics was invited to photograph a wonderful little event at Fountainebleu State Park, Mandeville, LA last Sunday, November 8, 2009. The Boxer Bash/Dobe Dash was put on by the Louisiana Boxer Rescue and Gulf Coast Doberman Rescue. We meet heroes all the time in the rescue world, and these folks are no exception. It never ceases to amaze us the lengths some humans will go to to rescue animals some humans have horribly neglected and abused. Breed rescue groups are notified by shelters of dogs brought in which meet the fuzzy breed standards. These are some big, big hearted people.

It should come as no surprise that the people who do this work need financial assistance. Hence the fundraisers. Sisters Pet Pics would like to promote these organizations and implore our clients and readers to do what they can to assist. The three collections below represent those who attended this event and give of themselves to their dogs and to the group. You will meet Tao Dawson, a year old chocolate Doberman Pinscher, who was shot. The bullet lodged in his spine. Dag's House is humanely and selflessly rehabilitating this very social and personable dog. Check out the photos to see just how normal he is.
